2020-2022
Crypto Art
During the pandemic I pivoted into 3D and VR art, becoming a part of the then small (but rapidly growing) cryptoart community operating entirely online.
I used my time during the pandemic to learn Blender and hone my VR art skills in Open Brush (then called Tiltbrush).
I was lucky enough to be quite successful as a Cryptoartist, selling around 35 artworks mainly via Known Origin, which has since been bought and shut down by Ebay of all things.
I was also lucky to be a part of the growing Cryptoart community before it got too popular and inflated into the ‘NFT’ space. I wrote quite a popular article on how to become one here. (Now Very out of date)
You can see some of the remaining Cryptoart that I created via Opensea.
Unfortunately, Art that I have sold doesn’t necessarily remain available to view and I used to feel weird about sharing digital copies of Cryptoart around as it could be seen to dimish the artwork.
However, now the Cryptoart space has soured and the soul of the community has itself dimished, so I will share copies of artwork I’ve sold here as a record.
My work was largely introspective and experimental, often developing via the technical process rather than a starting vision. I mostly worked independantly though did collaborate a few times although those projects weren’t nearly as successful as my independant work.

In it’s original form the above artwork is a short animated gif of a photogrammetry scan of myself gradually disintegrating.

Similarly the above artwork depicts a loop of me ‘exploding’ and ‘reforming’ .
This is one of my favourites and is called ‘Low key freakout’.
