Education and Training xR
in Health & Care
2022 - Present
These days I work part-time as an xR Learning and Development technologist at the Southwest Ambulance Service where I am gradually helping to improve and expand their simulation and immersive training programmes.
2016-2018
My journey into xR started when I accidentally fell into 360 training video production at Torbay Hospitals VR Lab, the first of it’s kind in the UK. Headed by simulation training and VR expert Nick Peres, the VR Lab aimed to experiment with and pioneer the production of xR content for staff and patients in the health and care industries.
I worked with Nick helping him develop and iterate the production process for 360 video training content as well as actively experimenting with other xR technologies within a health and care context.
I produced a fair few 8k 3D 360 videos showcasing health and care training and experiences which were more like social documentaries.
Unfortunately none of what I worked on is available online but I do have a few pictures from that time below.
